On 19 May, Recycllux’s CEO Sorina Uleia joined Session #13 of Climate Collective’s AI for Earth – Women in Climate programme as a guest speaker.
During the session, Sorina shared practical lessons from building an AI-powered climate startup around a real environmental challenge. She explained how Recycllux began not with technology, but with the need to address marine plastic pollution more effectively and at scale.
The discussion explored how Recycllux uses satellite imagery and artificial intelligence to identify pollution hotspots and coordinate existing local networks of fishers and NGOs. This asset-light model enables targeted interventions while significantly reducing the emissions associated with conventional cleanup approaches.
We are grateful to Climate Collective for creating a space where founders can openly share the practical realities of building responsible, impact-driven AI solutions.
