Last week, Recycllux, together with Techir and Mare Nostrum, brought the Waste to Art Initiative to Școala Gimnazială Nr. 12 “Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu” in Constanța.

As part of our joint pilot agreement and following the cleanup intervention carried out at the end of September, this activity aimed to inspire the next generation through creativity, awareness, and hands-on learning.

We worked with 26 enthusiastic 7th-grade students who transformed pieces of discarded marine waste – collected by local fishermen during our September intervention – into vibrant artworks. Their creations showed that every piece of waste can become something meaningful when placed in the right hands.

We extend our gratitude to the dedicated teachers, to Mare Nostrum, and to Techir for helping bring this initiative to life.

Together, we’re proving that change begins with awareness – and that the voices of young people can spark powerful transformation.
